What is The Purpose of Kundalini Yoga?

The purpose of practicing Kundalini yoga is to attain self-realization, opening the heart, serving people, and ultimately achieve unlimited creative and spiritual potential of every practitioner.

However, the Kundalini sequences can be very physically intense.

This type of yoga appeals to those who are up for both mental and physical challenges. Through practicing a combination of yoga techniques, asana poses, pranayama, and meditation trainees, under guidance of a certified master, aim to strengthen the nervous system and mental faculties, balance the energy of the chakras, and integrate the release of kundalini energy.

Each Kundalini yoga asana is performed in connection with a special breathing technique that strengthens the effects of the asana with the aim of freeing energy in the base of the spine and stimulating it to move up. Kundalini consequences called “kriya” consist of speedy, repetitive movements done with breath or keeping a posture while breathing in a special way.
